CPI Plumbing & Heating, Hearts & Hammers and Home Depot Team Up to Gift Deserving Homeowner with Home Renovation

Together, the partners donated and installed home improvements for Carol Boese free-of-charge, valued at more than $18,000

Skagit County, Wash. (May 1, 2024)CPI Plumbing & Heating, Skagit County’s trusted HVAC, plumbing and electrical experts for over 25 years, recently teamed up with partners Hearts & Hammers and The Home Depot to gift a deserving local resident with a much-needed home renovation.

After losing her husband to a tragic motorcycle accident two years ago and now battling a lung cancer diagnosis, the one place Oak Harbor resident Carol Boese should have always been able to count on as her respite was her home. Instead, Mrs. Boese was dealing with a myriad of home breakdowns including an overflowing septic tank, a broken heater, and outdated plumbing.

On April 30th, the donating partners came together to surprise Mrs. Boese with several home upgrades, gifted and installed completely free-of-charge. CPI Plumbing donated a brand-new heating system, thermostats and toilet, valued at more than $18,000, while The Home Depot and Hearts & Hammers repainted her home and installed a new perimeter fence.

“CPI Plumbing & Heating is committed to giving back to our community, and Carol Boese could not be more deserving of this renovation,” said Jim Michael, General Manager at CPI Plumbing & Heating. “Our team is inspired by Carol’s perseverance despite the tragedies she’s faced in the last two years and hope that these improvements bring her comfort and solace in her home for years to come.”
