Cardiac Arrest Fest 2015

Cardiac Arrest Fest 2015

This year Birdsview Brewing is raising money for the Heather Schols Cardiac Rehabilitation Center at Skagit Valley Hospital. They will have live music by The Fender Benders (1-3pm), The Touks (4-6pm) and Whiskey Fever (6:30-8:30pm). They will have 50/50 raffles, a silent auction, and food and drink specials, including our seasonal beer Cardiac Arrest, in which a portion of the sales are donated to the cause all month long.

In October of 2008, the owners' 31 year old son suffered a cardiac arrest due to an undiagnosed heart condition. Miraculously, he survived. Every year since, we raise money for cardiac centers to help raise awareness of heart related issues.

This year they also have another special occurrence during Cardiac. Members of Keep a Heart Beating Skagit (whose mission was to raise $12,000 to place life saving AED devices in eastern Skagit County) will also be present. Thanks to their fundraising efforts, Albert’s Red Apple, the Concrete Theater, the Marblemount Community Center, Concrete High School, Birdsview Brewery all received these AED devices and training free of charge. During Cardiac Arrest, they will have the ribbon cutting ceremony and celebration for our AED.

Come out to support a great cause and have some fun while you’re doing it!
