Harold's Kitchen: Cilantro Garlic Ribs

Cilantro Garlic Ribs


  • 2 Tbsp. Minced Garlic
  • 1 Large Bunch Cilantro, washed, leaves coarsely
  • chopped (1 cup)
  • 1 Tbsp. Sugar
  • I Cup Reduced Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 1/2 Cup Asian Sweet Chili Sauce( in the Asian aisle of the supermarket)
  • 1/4 Cup Vegetable Oil
  • 3 Lbs. Pork Back Ribs, cut into 2 racks


  • In a blender combine garlic, cilantro and sugar. Blend until a paste forms. Add soy sauce, sweet chili sauce and vegetable oil. Pulse until well combined.
  • Pour mixture over ribs in a large container, turning ribs to coat well.
  • Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  • Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Preheat grill. Remove ribs from the sauce, shaking off any excess and reserving remaining sauce.
  • Place ribs on grill, meaty side down, for 8 minutes. Flip and grill another 4 minutes. Transfer ribs to a 9x13x2 baking dish and pour reserved sauce over ribs. Cover with foil and bake 3 hours. Remove and serve immediately.
