What is Lead Certified?
The United States Environmental Protection Agency has
certified CPI as a lead safe firm. We have fulfilled the
requirements of the Toxic Substances Control Act and have
received certification to conduct lead based paint renovation,
repair, and painting activities. Our certification number is
NAT-61120-1.
What does this mean for you, our customer?
During common renovations such as demolition, disturbed lead–
based paint can create lead dust and chips. To protect against
any risks, EPA now requires contractors to become certified to
perform these renovations in homes, child care facilities, and
schools built before 1978. Three procedures that are required to
be followed by contractors are:
1. Contain the work area
2. Minimize dust
3. Clean work area thoroughly
